If you want to stay showing a blended search result then take care when you edit a Google Places Listing.

The Business Name has to be just that when it shows as a blended Maps search Google Places Listing.  No added location or category words unless they are in your registered or established business name.

It is worth navigating to your address in Google Maps to see what shows there for you.  For your Places Listing to show in a blended Google search result the address has to be consistent with the red Maps pin in the same place.

It is best to use a land line as the primary phone no but a mobile phone can be used as Googles verification is mostly by Post Card now.  Only use the prime phone no as visible on all your other web content.  Avoid accepting tracking numbers to be used on other web directory sites, if you have them its best to ask to revert to your Places Listing no.

The words in Categories which show in the Places Listing can be out of Google’s list  or your own choice where you should avoid adding location or unique business name words.

Incoming search terms:

  • google places additional details
  • google places rejected March 19 2012
